When I went to the Head of Finance suggesting that I should enhance my pension, she strongly advised against that and recommended buying a student house: so I bought 11 Library St as my pension in 2002. My students finally persuaded me that I should write a cookery book, which I did: The Grain-Free Vegetarian (2015) (see www.grainfreevegetarian.com) and my eldest son, Sam, took fantastic pictures as he has done for this website. I have two other sons: Alex, a head chef in London, and Louis, a mathematician specialising in AI and Probability. I live a five-minute bike ride from Library St with my composer/pianist husband Andrew Wilson-Dickson, who very generously helps me look after my student house.
